Building Skills and Character

Welcome to our Academy Sports, where we prioritise the holistic development of every student through our dedicated sports programs. Our focus extends beyond competitions; we believe in nurturing talents while emphasising personal growth and character development.

Our Academy Sports represent the premier teams of the College, offering our talented athletes the opportunity to develop their skills and compete at high-level competitions.

Basketball

(Prep - Year 12)

The »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ÍøÕ¾ Basketball program delivers a holistic approach to player development and competitive opportunities for students of all ages. In the foundational years (Prep to Year 3), the emphasis is on building core motor skills and court awareness. As students advance through Years 3 to 6, they develop game sense and teamwork, while Secondary athletes refine advanced strategies and performance skills. Our program provides multiple pathways for competition, including interschool and club fixtures, with representative teams competing in ISC for Years 5–12, CSSAQ, and the prestigious CBSQ State Championships.

Football

(Prep - Year 12)

The »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ÍøÕ¾ Football (Soccer) program begins with regular training sessions and preseason matches. Students from Years 5–12 compete in the ISC competition, while Senior First XI teams proudly participate in elite tournaments such as the Uhlsport Cup and CSSAQ Tournament. Junior First XI teams take part in the ISSA Cup, Bill Turner Knockout Competition, and CSSAQ Tournament. Grounded in Christian values, the program emphasises servant leadership, character development, and mentorship, with the goal of glorifying God and representing the College positively within the sporting community.

Volleyball

(Year 5 - Year 12)

The »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ÍøÕ¾ Volleyball program is designed to develop both individual skills and team performance while honouring God in all aspects of play. Students from Years 5–12 compete in the ISC competition, ISC Beach Volleyball, and CSSAQ Tournaments, with a strong focus on enjoyment, fitness, and growth. Through a structured training program, teams prepare for major tournaments such as the Volleyball Queensland Schools Cup (Brisbane), the Volleyball Australia Schools Cup, and the Beach Volleyball Schools Cup. Rooted in Christian values, the program encourages servant leadership and character development, ensuring athletes represent the College with excellence.

Netball

(Year 5 - Year 12)

The »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ÍøÕ¾ Netball program begins with weekly training sessions and preseason games. Players from Years 5–12 compete in the ISC competition, as well as CSSAQ and the prestigious Vicki Wilson Cup. Rooted in Christian values, the program emphasises servant leadership and character development through mentoring, aiming to glorify God and ensure a positive representation of the College within the wider community.

Touch Football

(Year 5 - Year 12)

The »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ÍøÕ¾ Touch Football program offers dynamic weekly training and preseason fixtures, preparing students for the upcoming competitions. Teams from Years 5–12 proudly represent the College in ISC and CSSAQ competitions, as well as the renowned Brisbane All Schools Touch Football Tournament. Guided by Christian principles, the program focuses on teamwork, servant leadership, and personal growth, encouraging athletes to glorify God while positively reflecting the College in every game and community interaction.

Interschool competitions

The school provides students with a diverse range of sporting opportunities, participating in prestigious events such as the newly established Independent Schools Championship (ISC), the Champion Basketball School of Queensland (CBSQ), the Volleyball Schools Cup, the Football Queensland Futsal Championship, Vicky Wilson Cup (Netball) and Brisbane All Schools Touch. 

Inter-school competitions are offered through the Christian Schools Sports Association of Queensland (CSSAQ), the Southside Premier League, and the School Sports Pathway.
